COURSE CHECKLIST

All our owner-builder courses are completed 100% online. Click below to open up a list of the course available to you in your state.

NSW residents: You are required to complete a short video of yourself completing a simple set of tasks that we will instruct you to do.

The link for the video instructions will appear when you are logged in. They will also be emailed to you when you finish the NSW Owner-Builder course.

To complete the video component, you have 3 options:

1. PRE-RECORD yourself: Record yourself answering the questions and then send us the video file.
2. REAL-TIME with trainer: Please video-call 0418181815 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, using one of the free apps (WHATSAPP/VIBER/MESSENGER/SKYPE).
3. IN-PERSON at our office: If it is convenient and close, you can come to our office to do the video together. We are located in Dee Why, NSW.

If you already have a white-card, you do not need to do this again. Go straight to section 3 below.

WA & TASresidents: If you do NOT have a white-card and you live in WA or TAS, you will need to complete sections 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D for the online white-card.

NSW, ACT, TAS & QLD residents: We offer the classroom course in your state. (show me where and when)

The white-card course you complete online will be either the WA white-card OR TAS white-card.

You MUST be a resident of either Western-Australia or Tasmania to complete the online white-card course.

TAS & WA residents: You only need to provide a current drivers license with the statutory declaration.

NSW, ACT & VIC residents: Must complete the course in the classroom.

You must print and complete the Statutory Declaration (Witness Statement Form) and either email or post it back to us before we can assess your online white-card course.

You will need to provide an audio-video recording of yourself answering a standard set of questions which will take between 10-15 minutes. These standard set of questions can be downloaded once you are logged in. Please ensure you have read through the questions before you call us to record your answers via video-chat.

The video-chat must be done in real-time (meaning it cannot be pre-recorded).

To complete the video-chat, you have several options:

FACETIME: iPhone users only.
SKYPE / VIBER / WHATSAPP / MESSENGER: For users that do not have an iPhone.
IN PERSON: If it is convenient and close, you can come to our office. We are located in Dee Why, NSW.

You will need a PPE kit (hard hat, safety glasses, high visibility clothing and ear plugs/muffs) and a webcam or smart phone with video capability. If you do not have access to the required PPE kit, we can send them to you.

You must demonstrate putting on the above 4 items of PPE in real-time with an assessor (meaning it cannot be pre-recorded).

You can do this at the same time as the above audio visual assessment.

To complete the PPE-video, you have several options:

FACETIME: iPhone users only.
SKYPE / VIBER / WHATSAPP / MESSENGER: For users that do not have an iPhone.
IN PERSON: If it is convenient and close, you can come to our office. We are located in Dee Why, NSW.

NSW Residents: We will need a copy of your white-card (or certificate from the day) along with a copy of your photgraphic ID (driver's licence, passport, etc) before we can assess your owner-builder course.

Other states: You still require to hold a current white-card, but you do NOT need to send us a copy.

As part of our on-going Quality Training and continuous improvement, all students who complete a nationally accredited course must complete the learner engagement survey.

The survey is completely anonymous and includes a standard set of 35 questions which are submitted to our regulating body each year.

It's purpose is to improve the training we deliver to our students and only takes 2-3 minutes to complete.

In order for ABSOLUTE Education to issue our students with a national accreditation (certificate), we must by law verify your identity and place this 10 digit USI on your certificate.

A USI is effectively an account or reference number made up of 10 numbers and letters which looks like AB45H9856K. The USI will allow all of an individual’s training records, entered in the national vocational education and training (VET) data collection, to be linked and is valid for life.

How do I get a USI?
If you do not have a USI, you can request ABSOLUTE Education to apply for one on your behalf.

I already have a USI?
Enter your USI and we will verify your identity.

Once you successfully finish your course(s), all we need now is payment. If you have already paid, once you are logged in, you will be able to print your receipt from here.

You can pay using one of the following options:

ONLINE-SECURE: Once you are logged in, click on "Pay for your course" and enter your credit card details.
DIRECT-DEPOSIT: Either via your web-banking or go into any Commonwealth Bank and pay over the counter.
CHEQUE/MONEY-ORDER: Post the cheque or money-order to: PO Box 4306, North Curl Curl, NSW, 2099.

You need to be logged in to pay online. You will see a big "Pay for your course" sign on the home page. Or you can come back here and click on the link that will appear once you are logged in.

When logged in, once you have green ticks in all the steps above, there will be a link here for each of the courses that you have completed which will allow you to to print your certificate(s) directly.

We will also email and post you an original copy of your certificate(s) once you have completed the course.
